چکیده
The implementation of microwave and millimetre-wave switching networks using phase change material (PCM) is presented in this paper. We propose integrating a combination ultra-wide bandwidth-optimised building cells into unique semi-T type switch. construction arrays with different dimensions enabled. present paper selected GeTe for the PCM-based switches, which are 150 nm thin-film offering on- off-state σon = 37,203,703 S/m σoff 94.97 conductivities by customised eight-step fabrication process. integrated switch cell two, thru, turn operational states allows easy expansion form staircase matrix. simulated results show excellent insertion loss better than 0.8 dB, return 20 isolation 40 dB both thru paths from DC to 120 GHz. proposed 4 × matrix dimension only 510 μm2 also smallest its class. exhibits 17 isolations across all possible combinations paths.

Microwave spectroscopy of biomolecular building blocks.
Microwave spectroscopy, considered as the most definitive gas phase structural probe, is able to distinguish between different conformational structures of a molecule, because they have unique spectroscopic constants and give rise to distinct individual rotational spectra.Previously, application of this technique was limited to molecular specimens possessing appreciable vapor pressures, thus di...
متن کاملMillimetre-Wave Backhaul for 5G Networks: Challenges and Solutions
The trend for dense deployment in future 5G mobile communication networks makes current wired backhaul infeasible owing to the high cost. Millimetre-wave (mm-wave) communication, a promising technique with the capability of providing a multi-gigabit transmission rate, offers a flexible and cost-effective candidate for 5G backhauling. By exploiting highly directional antennas, it becomes practic...
متن کاملBrainstem respiratory networks: building blocks and microcircuits.
Breathing movements in mammals are driven by rhythmic neural activity generated within spatially and functionally organized brainstem neural circuits comprising the respiratory central pattern generator (CPG). This rhythmic activity provides homeostatic regulation of gases in blood and tissues and integrates breathing with other motor acts. We review new insights into the spatial-functional org...
